On April 23, 2025, the Uyoma Digital Education Community Hub (DECH) took a major step forward with the successful installation of solar panels, ensuring stable, sustainable power for digital learning. This milestone directly addresses the challenges of poverty and limited infrastructure that have long restricted access to education and opportunity in the region.
The solar system now powers all ICT equipment, enabling computer-assisted learning, internet access, and digital programs without interruption. This shift not only improves daily operations but also enhances the long-term sustainability of the Hub.
The Uyoma DECH is part of a growing network of centers that promote transformative, Christ-centered education—equipping youth and women with practical skills for peacebuilding, innovation, and economic empowerment.
